Since its inception in 2014, Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management Sri Lanka (A-PAD) affiliated to A-PAD, is aimed at coordinating and supporting disaster preparedness, mitigation, disaster risk reduction, capacity building and relief activities across Sri Lanka. A-PAD Sri Lanka also facilitates other alliances in the Asia Pacific Region and supports global frameworks, advocacy in Disaster Risk Reduction, Management, mitigation and responses, and linking civil society and private sector organization in humanitarian and development activities.

This venture is to encourage knowledge management by encapsulating academic and practical knowledge under one roof while addressing the thematic content on the Development Sector.
